A checklist for organizing product information
Consistent product data is what makes a catalog browsable, searchable, and trustworthy.
One product, one complete record
Create a spreadsheet or document with one row per product. Fill every column for one product completely before moving to the next โ partial records are what slow launches down.
- Name โ short and searchable, the way customers say it.
- Price in JOD โ including any extras, with up to three decimals when needed.
- Variants โ sizes, colors, and the stock level of each.
- Three photos minimum, one showing real scale.
- A two-sentence description plus bullet points for specs.
Common mistakes
Avoid naming products with internal codes customers never use, mixing currencies, and marking everything 'available' when stock is uncertain. Accurate availability beats optimistic availability โ a surprise out-of-stock costs you the customer, not just the order.
